Xola

Xola is a complete online booking system used by tens of thousands of businesses and customers across the United States. The project's goal: optimize the mobile experience across the entire product ecosystem and support the brand through its strategic changes.

Xola was one of the first large product environments I contributed to actively and consistently. The international setup, with frequent exchanges with the US-based CTO and the development teams in India, helped shape a global, collaborative, and demanding product approach.

Extensive user research and functional analysis were done up front. The app already had a large user base, which put tight constraints on the redesign. It was essential to stay consistent with existing habits while fully modernizing the user flows.

Xola's ecosystem is split into two distinct experiences: one for businesses to manage bookings, and one for end customers booking activities. Both had to work across a wide range of devices: desktop, mobile, tablet, and in-store kiosks, which required a UX that adapts flawlessly.

One major part of the project covered the booking funnel and the payment system. Payments had to support multiple users and multiple payment methods: credit card, check, deferred payments, and installments. The interface had to stay smooth and clear whatever options the user picked.

Special attention went to order statuses and post-purchase tracking. These flows went through an in-depth discovery phase to reduce errors, secure the flows, and ensure solid product logic. The challenge was to reorganize systems already in place while adapting them to new uses and standards.

In parallel, I supported the creation of marketing assets to keep the brand consistent and strengthen the visual impact of its digital materials. All of this work was part of an ongoing optimization effort for a highly strategic platform.
